Co(n)texts: Journal of Language, Literature and Culture

Reimagining the Humanities: New Directions in Language, Literature and Culture, the inaugural issue of Co(n)texts: Journal of Language, Literature and Culture, a peer-reviewed, open-access journal of the Department of English, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, seeks to explore emerging directions in humanities scholarship. We invite original and unpublished research that rethinks established paradigms, engages with contemporary theoretical debates, and offers innovative perspectives on language, literature, culture, and their intersections.
Contributions may address South Asian and world literatures, critical theory, translation studies, linguistics and applied linguistics, discourse analysis, media and cultural studies, environmental and health humanities, blue and digital humanities, memory and trauma studies, gender and sexuality studies, Dalit, Indigenous and minority studies, folk and oral literatures, race and ethnicity studies, AI and algorithmic cultures, visual culture and graphic narratives, film studies, and legal humanities. Interdisciplinary and methodologically innovative approaches are especially welcome.
Research articles (4,000–7,000 words, including notes and references) should be submitted as Microsoft Word documents to contextsjournal@cup.edu.in. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
