Cuadernos del Archivo

The call for papers for the 13th issue of Cuadernos del Archivo is open. An interdisciplinary journal spanning the fields of history, literary studies, and related social sciences, Cuadernos del Archivo is published in print and online by the Center for the Documentation of German-Speaking Immigration to Argentina (Centro DIHA). The journal publishes original academic papers and reviews concerning social, cultural, economic, and political aspects of German-speaking immigration to Argentina and Latin America.
We invite submissions for any of the following sections:
- Individual articles (topic open)
- Thematic dossier (a group of thematically interlinked contributions)
- Reviews of recent publications (no more than four years old) relevant to the journal’s focus
Works on experiences in archives related to the magazine subjects are also welcome.
The limit of characters for articles is 30,000, and 8,000 for reviews.
Original and unpublished contributions that have not been simultaneously submitted to another publication, in full or in part, are welcome. Although Cuadernos del Archivo is published in Spanish, submissions in Portuguese, German, and English also are welcome. If accepted, these will be translated to Spanish before publication.
Contributions will first be reviewed by the editorial committee. If the evaluation is positive, each text will be sent to at least two external reviewers, under the double-anonymous peer review system. Reviews of recent publications will be evaluated exclusively by the editors. If the article or review is accepted and revisions are requested, the authors will have two weeks to make edits accordingly.
Abstracts of articles and dossier proposals are accepted until 31 March 2023. Full articles must be submitted by 30 June 2023.
