Journal of Modern Literature: Caribbean Literatures and the Environment

The Journal of Modern Literature publishes essays on twentieth- and twenty-first-century global literature. Topics addressed in this issue may include oceanic literature; literary depictions of climate change, rising seas, and pollution; and narratives of monoculture, extraction, and extinction. Submissions should conform to the eighth edition of the MLA Handbook for documentation and manuscript formatting and should include a 100–150-word abstract and 3–5 keywords. There is a 9,000-word limit, inclusive of abstract, notes, and works cited. No simultaneous submissions or previously published material.
