The Next Generation Indie Book Awards (NGIBA) is a prestigious program that celebrates the achievements of independent authors and publishers. This awards program welcomes entries for books written in English with a copyright date or release date in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
With over 80 categories, this awards program offers more than 80 prizes, including monetary awards totaling over $10,000. The top prizes include $1,500 for the best fiction and nonfiction books, $750 for second, and $500 for third.
The final entry deadline is 13 February 2026.
The NGIBA is open to all indie authors and publishers, including self-published authors, university presses, and e-book authors. Authors and publishers from the United States., Canada, or around the world are eligible to enter.
Winners and finalists will receive benefits such as cash prizes, trophies, exposure on our website and social media, as well as an opportunity to have your books reviewed by the esteemed literary agent Marilyn Allen. This recognition can significantly boost your book’s visibility and provide credibility needed to reach a wider audience.
Winners and finalists will be notified by mid-May 2026.
